Thought for the month – April 2017

The clocks have changed, the daffodils are out and it’s getting just a little warmer. Spring is definitely here and just a signal that summer is not too far away. And with summer, comes another year of Young People’s Bible camp. Are you planning to be there this year?

Whilst the changing seasons give us things to look forward to, they also remind us that time passes by quickly and things in life don’t last forever.

The Bible reminds us of this in 1 Peter 1:24-25:

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

It is good to remember that God’s word is lasting, sure and reliable. But the greatest thing to remember is that God’s word reveals the gospel, the good news of forgiveness, peace with God and eternal life. God has declared it and the Lord Jesus died on the cross to make it all possible.

This great message will be preached at Young People’s Bible Camp this year. But you don’t have to wait until camp. You can call on the Lord Jesus for salvation right now.
